TANFON 100 kW C&I Solar for a Dili Communication Base Station, Timor-Leste

0 admin 2026-10-15 10:31:07

TANFON won an open tender with a 100 kW hybrid PV and 200 kWh storage system for a communication base station in Dili, East Timor. Ten engineers commissioned the plant and trained the local team. Five years of online operation and maintenance are included.

TANFON 100 kW + 200 kWh Solar & Storage: Communication Base Station, Dili

TANFON Solar complete 100 kW hybrid solar solution for a communication base station in Dili, East Timor (Timor-Leste). The plant pairs 170 × 600 W modules (102 kWp DC) with a TANFON MPS 100 kW hybrid inverter and 200 kWh of lithium battery storage.

Why the site needed a new power system
Base-station servers and air conditioning require 24/7 stable power. Local electricity prices were high, and operating cost had to come down. The open tender asked for a complete, competitive solution, and the client weighted technical training and long-term operating capability, not equipment price alone.

What TANFON delivered
TANFON supplied the full 100 kW hybrid system. Ten experienced engineers carried out on-site connection, debugging, and commissioning of the modules, inverter, and lithium batteries. They also trained the client’s local team in system operation and routine maintenance. The schedule was one month of production, two months for delivery, and 15 days of commissioning.

Stated results

  • Servers and air conditioning now run continuously.
  • An EMS monitors system status in real time from the back office.
  • TANFON engineers continue regular remote online maintenance.
  • The local team now operates and maintains the plant on its own.

Service commitment
For this Dili project, TANFON provides five years of free online operation and maintenance: performance is monitored, faults are flagged early, and operation and maintenance cost is kept down.

For the customer, this is not an equipment shipment. It is a full commercial delivery, from product through commissioning, training, and service.
