Project Overview: Papua New Guinea 500kW/1MWh Commercial & Industrial PV Energy Storage System

This project involves a large three-story shopping center located in a core commercial zone in Papua New New Guinea, integrating a supermarket, food and beverage outlets, and various retail stores. To address exorbitant grid electricity costs of 1.6 RMB/kWh and unstable grid power quality, the owner has decided to invest in a 500kW solar plus storage system to achieve energy independence and cost control.

1. Customer Pain Points & Load Analysis
The shopping center's critical loads, including central air conditioning and escalators, sum to approximately 350kW. Its daily electricity consumption reaches 2,500 kWh. Although a 500kW diesel generator is available for backup, the high fuel cost (approximately 5 RMB/liter) makes it unsuitable for regular use, limiting its role to emergency power.

2. System Solution & Economic Return
A comprehensive solar-storage solution was customized for this site:

PV Array: 792 units of 650W high-efficiency solar modules, generating sufficient power to cover daytime consumption.

Energy Storage System: A 1MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) paired with a 500kW hybrid inverter, integrated within a 20-foot container.

Intelligent Power Management: 10 units of 8-string combiner boxes and 10 MPPT trackers ensure efficient energy harvesting and management.

Based on calculations, the system's payback period is only 2 years. Thereafter, the electricity generated will be virtually free, creating substantial and ongoing financial benefits for the owner.

3. Customer Value & Quality Assurance
The client possesses strong technical expertise and demanded the highest standards for equipment quality and certification, requiring all core components to comply with Australian Standards. The owner clearly stated that even factoring in the potential cost of a battery replacement after 5 years, the project's return on investment remains exceptionally high.

Conclusion: This system is more than just a power supply solution; it is a dedicated "power plant" generating a stable cash flow for the business, truly achieving sustainable energy and maximizing economic returns.

1MW/1.8MWh solar energy system electricity for villages in Congo

The King of the Democratic Republic of the Congo has provided a solar energy storage power station system for the village of Bunkeya to meet the electricity needs of 2500 small households in the village. As the village currently lacks access to the grid, the King requested the design of a 1MW solar panel system paired with a 1.8MWh lithium battery storage system to power the entire village.
